Your First Visit to Our Wichita Practice

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

You'll be greeted by one of our friendly staff members.

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll find plenty of convenient parking only steps away from our front door and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office. Our staff are warm and friendly people who care for your every need.

If you’ve already completed your admitting paperwork, great! If not, that's okay too! A clip board and pen will be given to you with a short entry form. After completing your paperwork, you will be invited back for a consultation with the doctor.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic and/or acupuncture is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Allow 30-45 minutes for your first visit. This time may be less if you choose to complete your admitting paperwork in advance.

Depending upon your personal health needs, Dr. Wheeler may offer a relief treatment at this time. We don't expect miracles, but gladly accept them if they happen.

Dr. John Asks some important questions of interest to Wichita residents - Chiropractor Wichita Dr. John Asks...

Where do most Wichita residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Wichita newborn.
What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
